Hiii guys! Here is a little bit about me and my small business if you are curious!

I’m Sierra Barth, the artist behind Lucky 22 Studio. All artwork is completely handmade by me in a little home studio nestled between the mountains of Durango, CO.

My artist journey began during the height of the pandemic. I stayed home my first year of college to save money since everything was online due to COVID. During this time, I became extremely bored and started searching for a creative outlet. One day, I discovered people turning spoons into rings and thought, “I could do that.” I gathered supplies from estate sales, Facebook Marketplace, and thrift stores, watched a few YouTube videos, and my new hobby quickly consumed me.

When I returned to college in person, I continued creating and began selling at local art markets. At the time, my work included spoon rings, wire-wrapped earrings and necklaces, and soldered pendants. What started as a hobby slowly turned into a small business (and a much-needed way to add a little money to a college student’s bank account).

After graduating with a degree in design from UC Davis, I landed my first “big girl” job as an interior design assistant. While I learned a lot, I found that the job didn’t fulfill my creative side in the way I had hoped. Eventually, I decided to step away and pursue more hands-on creative work.

While figuring out what I wanted to do next, my boyfriend gifted me a stained glass class for my birthday. I had experimented with stained glass growing up and in college, but after taking that class, I was completely hooked. That’s when I realized I wanted a studio that could hold all my creative interests, one where I could explore different mediums without feeling confined to a single art form.

Lucky 22 Studio is a space to showcase the arts I’ve already specialized in, like jewelry and stained glass, while leaving room to experiment with new artistic pursuits as they inspire me. I officially opened the studio in 2026 with the dream of turning my art into a career. I still work full time, but I hope that one day my studio will fully support me. Here, every piece is handmade with love, and I hope it brings a bit of inspiration and happiness to those who see it.
